Delivery Driver

**PLEASE READ: For all shifts, if you do not receive a delivery address the evening before your shift we do not have a delivery scheduled for you and there is no need to come to the office. Please reach out to Ashley Raggi the morning of your shift if you would like to check if we have any last minute deliveries we need help with. DETAILS: Little Hands Virginia relies on volunteers to deliver items to approximately 180 children a month. Deliveries can be picked up at our office any time between 10:00am and 3:00pm Monday through Thursday and 10:00am to Noon on Fridays. Drive around Target or Publix, look for the Little Hands sign and ring the buzzer. We will help load you up! The delivery routes usually take less than an hour. If more than one stop is assigned, we make sure to group to deliveries close by. All deliveries to homes are no contact. No training is required to be a delivery driver for Little Hands. Many volunteers do this with kids in the car or with friends! The night before your delivery you will receive a text stating the name and address for your delivery. You will simply reply all once you have delivered letting the client know items have been delivered. **If you are doing deliveries for community service hours for a group (IE: school), we must know ahead of time by emailing ashley@littlehandsva.org.** NOTE: This cannot be done for court-mandated community service hours.

The safety and comfort of our volunteers is a top priority for Little Hands. Delivery circumstances vary widely across the population we serve. If you encounter an unsafe or uncomfortable situation on the route you are delivering, do not complete the delivery. Just email ashley@littlehandsva.org and bring the items back to our office.

Please email ashley@littlehandsva.org if you have been assigned a delivery, but you need to cancel your shift.
